Arthur Rackham: (1867-1939) Rackham was one of the greatest illustrators in the last century, in this scribbler's opinion. He has illustrated such works as Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, just to name a couple. Rackham's work can be found if you just click here to see the wikipedia page about Arthur Rackham, also you can go onto other websites to look at other archives that have Rackham's works on display for the world to see.
Colin Howard: This particular artist is a friend of mine and is a very talented scribbler. He is currently attending CalArts, one of the most pretigious schools for the arts in the country, and has even made a quirky little video which is on his blog here, you will not regret looking at the fine pieces of art Mr. Howard has made. He is certainly one the most talented artists that I personally know of.
Tony DiTerlizzi: He is definitely one of the living illustrators that I find most inspiring. DiTerlizzi is mostly famous for his collaboration with author Holly Black in The Spiderwick Chronicles, which he illustrated throughout with his brilliant drawings. He has also done many other stories which are very delightful and charming to the eye. Click here to go to his website and some time gawking at his various illustrations.
Mike Mignola: He is the creator of the Hellboy comic book series and his work is delightfully gothic and are quite reminiscent of the scriveners Edgar Allan Poe & H. P. Lovecraft. If you like to take a gander at his website click here, I am sure that you would not be disappointed.
Paul Kidby: He is a great illustrator who is particularly famous for his collaboration with Terry Pratchett, the great author of the Discworld series. If you would like to take a gander at Mr. Kidby's personal website click here.

I will be adding to this list in the future, but in the meantime,
Keep a sharp eye out for forthcoming artists..
